I believe that a strong designer should be able to draw by hand. Some of my favorite logos and t-shirt graphics have started as simple doodles or napkin sketches. While I may not pick up a paintbrush or sketchbook as often as I once did, my background in art and the countless hours spent drawing as a teenager have been essential to shaping the designer I am today.
