El Capitan - Yosemite Collection

I’ve spent countless family vacations in Yosemite National Park, and over the years, I’ve watched numerous films documenting the park’s climbing history. I was especially excited when Free Solo won an Academy Award for its portrayal of Alex Honnold’s historic, rope-free ascent of El Capitan.

When I came across Clay Wadman’s topo map artwork of El Capitan’s climbing routes, I saw an opportunity for a product collaboration that would resonate with the outdoor community. The result was a capsule collection featuring Clay’s iconic map, applied across a variety of HippyTree products.

As Design Director and Project Manager, I handled all communication with Clay Wadman, directed apparel design, and managed product development and marketing.
