Jimmy Webb Collab / Climbing Capsule Collection

No other outdoor brands at the time were doing clothing collaborations with professional climbers. HippyTree’s objective was to be first-to-market in creating a climbing inspired capsule collection co-designed by professional climber Jimmy Webb. Inspired by Jimmy’s Tennessee roots, the color scheme of the collection was based around the colors on his hometown city flag. The interior neck yoke on the flannel featured a city map of Chattanooga highlighting some of the areas where Webb learned to climb. The pinnacle piece in the capsule collection was a climbing pant which went on to become one of HippyTree’s best selling pant styles.

My role for this project was Design Director and Project Manager. I carried out all collaboration communication with Jimmy Webb, along with directing the apparel design, overseeing product development and marketing.
